No one should be protected from misinformation. People should be smart enough to figure it out on their own. They arnt, most people are dumb as crap but that doesnt change things.

No one is censoring anything in these situations. A company has decided they dont want people using their PRIVATELY OWNED site to spread ideas they dont agree with. There is ZERO wrong with that. Same with a company firing you for saying dumb crap. Nothing is stopping him from saying whatever he wants elsewhere.

And what about the monopoly power of these companies? Controlling vast amount of information across multiple platforms? I thought we were against monopolies. Was I wrong? A monopoly is a company that owns such a huge part of the market, that they can control supply and pricing. In the case of Alphabet (Google), they control Android, youtube, Google maps, and a major search engine. They are able to control the flow of information without anyone even realizing they are doing it. They are so big, they are controlling the market single handedly. When coupled with ********, Amazon, and Apple, we now have a theoretical cartel, which is also illegal. They work together to control the distribution of services, in this case, its information. Isn't information their product/service? Is it ok to deceive the consumer?

This country used to be about protecting consumers and businesses as a whole. Instead, it's now protection of only a few monopolies. That's leftism for you though. Creating policies that protect big business while simultaneously hurting the consumer and small businesses.
