@hippo will definitely play it bro, it's the reason I bought the ps5 in the first place. Horizon 1 was my favorite exclusive. I definitely saw its few flaws but I got hooked into the world like nothing else.

Ps5 is here in 11 days. I will definitely start up Forbidden west just to see 4k gaming on my TV for the first time, but I'm gonna do a 4k60fps replay of Zero Dawn first. I heard the enhancements alone to the ps5 version totally change the experience.

Resolution mode is a MUST. Coming from someone who would normally play a game like this at 60FPS minimum on PC - the 30FPS of resolution mode doesn’t bother me in the slightest and SO worth how good it looks.
Resolution mode + HDR 4K TV = hnggggggg

Dude sounds extremely burnt out on gaming. I would hate to play videogames as a living. I prefer games to be my escape from reality but it can't replace the real thing. If it became my job it would have me miserable as fuk too.

Yo, my guy may have been a little swayed by how much he hyped it for the past few years but have you seen the ps5 update for it? I watched like 15 mins of gameplay and it actually looked pretty enjoyable. Mind is blown I'm even saying that. Wouldn't hurt to try since I own it and played 2 mins on ps4 at launch.
I am so conflicted because I've never gamed in 60fps which looks so buttery smooth and that's only from videos. However, my eye also strongly picks up the difference in resolution and crispness between both modes. Even from my phone. On my big TV it would be magnified so much more. I feel I'll have to sacrifice this gen, maybe turn the motion blur down and play most new games on resolution.

Which is strange because for the past year I was so excited to finally play 60fps. Maybe in 5 years or so a ps5 pro can offer 4k60. I don't even care about raytracing either. Just 4k60.

Yeah of course. There'll be a DLC and I think Horizon is supposed to be a trilogy so at least one more game.

I can't play it yet because I still have to replay Zero Dawn first but just loaded it up on PS5 to see what settings I'd prefer and it's fuking GORGEOUS. I didn't even walk past the hill you start on, didn't do the focus thing to scan or pick anything up. Just moved about to check the settings.

Performance mode is actually pretty awful. It loses a ton of sharpness. More than I was expecting. There's like little to no aliasing as well. Resolution mode looks so crisp in comparison and the 30 FPS felt smooth. I hope it keeps up in combat tho.

Cannot wait to play this but it's gonna be a while since my Zero Dawn playthrough is calling.
