This is what you are seeing nowadays with most young women and how they mate select

They used to be bound by a heavy social construct to not have sex until marriage, so most women wouldn't

As soon as that social construct is removed, women have gone back to their instincts which essentially is to have sex with top tier males, ignoring lesser men until it's time to get security for their children
lol i just gave you an example where they said monogamy came about 3.5 million years ago. some anthropologists have said that it went away then came back. but the time period it went away was like 1k years ago. again, this is in their theory

that would mean for the vast majority of time or vast majority of our evolution we've been monogamous. or rather, at least "true nature" appears to be more monogamous. e.g. monogamous for 3.49 million years and non for 1k

anyways, we agree a little bit but like i said just because you want something doesn't mean it's "human nature"; "human nature" could also be describe in your ability to control your wants

also, since you like cutting edge theories, just to throw a wrench into your "human nature" proposal. where does birth control rank in "human nature"; how could you describe birth control in terms of human nature? is birth control human nature?

That's the same as the miscers who are 25 saying that 30 year old women are dried up prunes and would never consider dating them.

It's easy to talk shyt when you know that nobody knows your secrets or that they'll just agree with you anyway.

Anyway, these generalisations that people speak about are plain stupid - like obs a decent girl wouldn't date a guy who is 35 and single due to being of a certain predisposition, but there are plenty of girls that are just the same.

Truth is that we are better off alone anyway - i know that i am better off alone.

With that said, being single at 35+ as a woman is a far greater failure than as a man, because you're basically done as an option to start a family. You can only have a serious relationship with divorced guys who already have kids, or man children who don't want kids because that means one less room in their house for their Funko Pop collection.

Look at it this way, you meet 35+ woman at the gym. Invade her space and trick her to go on a date with you. Unless you're insane, the earliest you'll move into together and be fake married is 1 year. More likely, 2 or more. Then you have to try to have kids. At that age, it doesn't just happen instantly. Then once you or her boyfriend knocks her up, there is a much greater chance of complications with older people having kids (older guy+younger girl might be okay as long as you don't mind your sperm possibly having one too many chromosomes, but older guy+younger girl=danger zone). She may not carry the pregnancy to completion, then you have to try again,

So you're looking at her pumping out the kid at 37 or 38, and that's at the earliest with the two of you expediting the relationship because you're both old as **** and out of time.

Guys being physically attractive is obviously extremely important too, but there are other things that women are attracted to for long term partners like masculinity, stability, career, personality (yuck), etc. Guys are attracted to things other than looks and youth, but looks and youth play a much bigger part in what a guy looks for in a girl. Any 35-40 year old guy who says he wouldn't prefer a 20-25 year old is lying, because it's easy to say that and look good when you'll never actually have a 20-25 year old be attracted to you. It's like the guys who insult Tiger Woods for cheating, but will never have to face a Harem of 10/10s chasing after them. It's false integrity.
You mentioned the older you get as a male the more possible it is for your sperm to have one too many chromosomes. At what age in your opinion would it be too risky for a man to try to have children? I am 36 and never had any children but want to in the future.

You seem to be claiming that all the men you personally know, if given $150million dollars today (and were physically attractive themselves) would not exercise options and end up banging some young fertile 18-25 yr olds

If for whatever reason that man decided to not do so, it would be a conscience choice or restraint, fighting his natural instinct to not bang those young fertile women

He is following a fabricated societal construct and abandoning his natural sexual imperative

Biologically speaking he is hindering his success to pass on his genes with the highest chance of survival
That's at least the third time you've ignored the point that we don't function off of pure primal instinct, even pea-brained animals have inherent personality traits from one to another

You claim most if not all men will choose to have a harem given the chance, yet science says otherwise, in fact any and all evidence shows that humans are naturally monogamous like most other mammals

It's not sex you crave, it's connection with a mate

Monogamy has been recorded as normal since before the Egyptians, define "modern" for me now that you know that

lol you should read this article. my only point is that people make declarative statements when if you actually look at the evidence there isn't much to what they say. think about it.. how could they? they could only speculate how people acted in the past. looking at bones isn't always a good indicator of behavior. i'd imagine their speculation to that comes from burial sites where multiple women may be buried with a man or if there's some odd number of females to males. anyways, my whole point is there are multiple theories, and that for whatever you believe in, there's prob just as much support for the opposite theory:
Despite a long history of study, consensus on a human-typical mating system remains elusive
When this transition occurred, however, is debated. Some researchers speculate that dimorphism was fairly modest around 4 million years ago among australopithicines and place monogamy and male provisioning deep in the hominin line (Lovejoy, 1981; Reno et al., 2003, 2010). Others contend that australopithecines were highly dimorphic; therefore, monogamy had yet to become established (Lockwood et al., 1996, 2007; Gordon et al., 2008).
https://www.frontiersin.org/articles...019.00230/full

honestly, if i think just socially.. i agree with you guys people aren't monogamous. where i get hung up on polygamy or anything like it is babies. i look at society now and the way it functions and i think it makes NO sense that most of us through evolution were supposedly raised with 1 dad and multiple moms. it makes a lot more sense to me that nuclear family happened and society grew along with it. hell, in polygamous societies i bet there's a lot less cooperation and there's a lot more competition

procreation is the whole reason to sex. you can't remove it from a biological function. if you removed babies we as a biological species would die off. so, again, babies = sex is literally the biological function

Humans are pair bonded species, perhaps not to be monogamous for life (given men can procreate to old age) but to claim it's completely socially constructed? lol

Our offspring benefit from that bonding until they are sufficient.

Your classification of "basic desires" sounds way too narrow. I think you mean resisting temptations or delaying gratification. We do have a system for that - Haidt describes it as System 1 and 2.

Your desire to survive is a basic instinct, to be with family, friends, find a companion, do well in your career, take a picture of your abs for a forum to fuel ego.

Well Iโ€™m 40 and single and never had a gf so Iโ€™d say something is obviously wrong with me. I always see strange connections amongst my peers but are they really my peers I ask myself. We donโ€™t hang out and I feel more of an urge to harm them rather than to get to know them so I donโ€™t think they are my peers. Once again I see more of them connecting on a fake but interesting level. I attempt every now and then but realize itโ€™s too risky. So yeah definitely might kill that chick friend of yours if she went out with me

Paypal me $100, and I'll Paypal you back $75. Then let's keep doing that, since they are the same, right?

About the bolded, I'll again flip it on you... Find a woman who has not conceived before today (April 20th 2022), and see if can birth just one pregnancy before May 20th 2022 (without premature births ).

See how stupid you look now?

But I guess I shouldn't expect much, before this educational episode began for you, you thought the general gestation for women was 12 months.
The fact remains that a woman can't start and complete more than one pregnancy within 12 months (unless premature births/miscarriage/abortion)

How can you argue this?

Birth control (by means of altering natural hormones) is unnatural

It is indeed the ultimate monkey wrench because people can now have sex without the consequences of a baby being produced

It's a good example however of how deep rooted our sexual mating strategies are:

Even with birth control women will be far pickier than men when choosing who to have sex with

Because women still in the back of their hindbrain have an instinct that tells them not to get impregnated by a weak man

After covering your basic needs of survival (nourishment and shelter), the need to pass on your genes is your most immediate concern.

Our society has been shaped to promote the family unit for thousands of years, it is now in the last 70 years or so that promiscuity, "sexual liberation" and egotistical individuality has been pushed at the forefront of culture in Western societies.

The ultimate PERSONAL question is? Are you happy alone?

If so, knock yourself out, bud.

If the answer is no, then you should perhaps stop literally fuking around and find a good partner for life.

I'm definately on the MGTOW time for a number of factors. Every woman I've dated was a negative in my life. Maybe two were positives but we were a lot younger. All of the rest either cost me time, money, or energy without adding back to me where I'm better off with her than without her. I have also come to the conclusion that I am not dating single moms. Also, not dating a girl who is a "nana" to her kids' kids because her kids are failures and going to dump their kids on their mom every chance they get. Also I will never date a woman who wants to mooch. Most women are losers. I can go on all day, but I just don't care.
