No idea why people are saying "you're on a bodybuilding forum."
Body building = building your body through strength training. It doesn't necessarily mean injecting yourself with steroids and getting to 300lbs shredded.

But are those on a tennis forum hating on Roger Federer or Serena Williams? I mean if bodybuilding is your hobby then why hate on the pros?

Real athletes "body build" or "strength train" whatever you want to call it to get better at their sport.
Bodybuilding is just cringe. Yeah bro lets do a bunch of steroids, eat, and then lift things up and put them down and then go stand on stage all oiled up in a thong and do homosexual poses.
Much easier to hate on bodybuilders than top level athletes in real sports. Because bodybuilding is just comical at this point with how massive these guys are and how ridiculous they look.

There was a great poster/troll called 90's Clay who would say Sampras would destroy Rafa on clay & suchlike-because that was the peak of clay court.

Contrast with real sports:
Tennis: Cardiovascular endurance, strategy (mental aspect), high level of skill, athleticism etc.
Hockey: Cardiovascular endurance, skill (shooting the puck, stick handling, precise passing), physicality (body checking), mental aspect (everything happens at such high speeds you need to be smart), explosive lower body strength, skating technique, strategy (set plays), teamwork etc.
Bodybuilding is just a dumb activity based on mental illness.

Forget about the dangerous unhealthy lifestyle they are living for one sec, what pisses me off is when powerlifters and bodybuilders call them selves athletes, I cringe hard every single time.
What exactly do they have in common with ja morant, lebron james, Cristiano ronaldo and kamaru usman?
Crazy atheltism, endurance, high iq/ strategic thinking among other things are key in sports, not sure if that exist in powerlifting or bodybuilding.
It's srsly reminds of e sports, who are calling them selves athletes to, pale skinny pimply nerds who sit on their ass all day ay video games

Bodybuilders have something called the off season, where they cycle off, eat ****, fart all day on their back before they start to compete for a show again, which is the next year or whatever not sure

But then again I've been on the court for 3+ hours in a grueling singles league match where everyone is cheering us on from the deck and it takes a lot of mental discipline to do that and practice 4 hours a day plus 1 hour of weights in college.
Tennis does take a lot of skill as there are so many shots that you learn and use as well as the ability to sprint and have endurance. I can't even list all of them.

Very few people do. Most who try often end up giving up. It's very hard to be a professional bodybuilder and I would imagine the hardest part is not gaining all the muscle but retaining it for as long as possible.

Why would you not want to be more stronger and jacked? If you don't lift and diet after 30 your body will just get skinny fat or fat aka dad bod. Yeah it might take you several 6-8 month bulks but in a few years you will build an impressive and strong physique.
