But the truth is that you need enough money but the more money that you make doesn't increase happiness. I have more now than I di then but I don't talk about money with friends or people I meet. I could afford to pay cash for a Bentley, but I choose to drive the same 2008 Cadillac CTS with 200k+ miles. The difference is that I have real friendships and real relationships. If you haven't made a lot of money then you'll have to go through this yourself, or you could listen to the wisdom of a man in his 50's.

$150k is getting immediately knocked down to $100k by income taxes, then by let's call it $2000/mo to put a roof over your head, then by $20k into your IRA (if you don't pay yourself first, you are retarded).

You are basically down to $50k by the time any money hits your account.

Buy some $5/gal gas and $6/carton eggs, and you are plebmaxxing in no time. You aren't living paycheck-to-paycheck on $150k, but you are closer to that than ordering bottle service.

If you're single and outside of a major US city (but even within some cities like Chicago) you can put a roof over your head for 1,200 (maybe less). And 50-60k after you've accounted for savings and other necessities is pretty decent for that age, and will let you accumulate status quickly, so long as you don't spend like a retard.

Most of my closest friends like that. They seem pretty happy, work hard during the week, good diet/exercise regimen, sports/beers/sports betting/bars/dinners and different women on the weekend. Great way to spend a few years.

Bro, I am spending Christmas with my parents in the suburbs of Boise Idaho. Single-bed apts 25 miles from downtown, 40 miles from the mountains, and with nothing but service sector jobs in a 10 mile radius cost $1400/mo and have zero vacancy.

For a 2-bed in Boise proper, you are looking at $2000/mo easy.

Pretty easy. Travel, make friends, smash sloots, experience chit. Plenty of time for family and settle down later. Men don’t have a ticking time bomb like women do for making a family.
