Why did CCP go with Sinovac, a regular killed virus vaccine? Not mRNA? They are not having the heart attacks and strokes we are. CCP and US elites conspired to genocide us. There are enough workers in China to go around, and they are under control.

The truth is it will be impossible to find out where the virus came from. There will always be reasonable doubt.

All the signs pointed to this. There's an increase in zoonotic disease transmissions. Climate change is causing erosion of animal habitats and increasing the frequency of interaction between us and animals. We knew for years a pandemic of this sort was coming, transferring from bats to humans or from bats to humans via an intermediary animal. Scientitsts were expecting this.
So why was a natural origins narrative believable at first blush? Because this is exactly what the scientific community was expecting and warned us would happen.

Wuhan lab denied BSL4 access for SARS work without clear reasoning
Wuhan Institute of Virology coronavirus research scientist Shi Zhengli was denied permission to use the BSL4 lab for SARS experiments, according to a U.S. State Department cable obtained by U.S. Right to Know.
The cable states that The National Health and Family Planning Commission of China, which was responsible for overseeing laws and regulations regarding public health, denied Shi permission to use the high-containment lab.
This information was redacted when the cable was originally disclosed by the Washington Post in April 2020, though it was tweeted by Josh Rogin in July 2020. U.S. Right to Know obtained the fully unredacted cable, confirming Rogin’s tweets.
The previously redacted sentences along with more recent reports point to biosafety gaps at the WIV prior to the pandemic. According to the Senate Committee on Health Education, Labor and Pensions, WIV researchers needed to adapt their biosafety methods and equipment when they couldn’t obtain necessary technologies from abroad.
The Senate report even suggested that accidents with viruses in the BSL4 lab may have already occurred.

Came across an old post of mine, which thoroughly debunks both Bodhy and James Duehr's claims regarding seamless engineering:

The question of the proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2—ie, the final virus and host before passage to humans—was expressly addressed in only one highly cited opinion piece, which supports the natural origin hypothesis,4 but suffers from a logical fallacy:5 it opposes two hypotheses—laboratory engineering versus zoonosis—wrongly implying that there are no other possible scenarios. The article then provides arguments against the laboratory engineering hypothesis, which are not conclusive for the following reasons. First, it assumes that the optimisation of the receptor binding domain for human ACE2 requires prior knowledge of the adaptive mutations, whereas selection in cell culture or animal models would lead to the same effect.Second, the absence of traces of reverse-engineering systems does not preclude genome editing, which is performed with so-called seamless techniques.6, 7 Finally, the absence of a previously known backbone is not a proof, since researchers can work for several years on viruses before publishing their full genome (this was the case for RaTG13, the closest known virus, which was collected in 2013 and published in 2020).8 Based on these indirect and questionable arguments, the authors conclude in favour of a natural proximal origin. In the last part of the article, they briefly evoke selection during passage (ie, experiments aiming to test the capacity of a virus to infect cell cultures or model animals) and acknowledge the documented cases of laboratory escapes of SARS-CoV, but they dismiss this scenario, based on the argument that the strong similarity between receptor binding domains of SARS-CoV-2 and pangolins provides a more parsimonious explanation of the specific mutations. However, the pangolin hypothesis has since been abandoned,9, 10, 11, 12 so the whole reasoning should be re-evaluated.

And in the exact form that Covid originated as: The rural interaction of a human and a wild animal. Given that we see this rural zoonotic transmission all the time, it wasn't difficult to predict a pandemic was on the way and would happen like this.

What's even funnier, is his rural Hubei countryside origins claim, which he is so sure of, was only ever mentioned by James Duehr. Literally no one has made those claims.
Even in Worobey's paper, which claims it started at the wet market, they at least acknowledge the uncertainty and lack of evidence to define upstream events, before the wet market:
Although there is insufficient evidence to define upstream events, and exact circumstances remain obscure, our analyses indicate that the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 occurred through the live wildlife trade in China and show that the Huanan market was the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic.
How is Bodhy so sure of a rural Hubei countryside interaction between a human and a wild animal? This is exactly why he deserves all the ridicule he gets on this forum.

Whether it was genetically engineered or not isn't even the question. Claiming it cannot be edited in this manner is making an entirely different statement - one to which you have never shown any proof.
Cannot be edited =/= was not edited
Cannot be edited =/= was not edited

I think IF we go with a natty hypothesis, the Laos bat cave thing seems most plausible. Wuhan wet market would have just been a hot spot for spread, but it wasn't "bat soup" lol. What would help this is if we continue to find viruses closely related to covid in Laos. If we find ones that are really similar in a population of bats, then natty will be more plausible. Right now we found some that are pretty close, but not close enough to fully explain it.
There's some sketchy stuff on the lab leak side too like secret research being done and also WIV removing stuff from their database. So idk.
I think it's still most likely natty, but looking forward to the info.

Wind turbines
Multiple mortality events in bats: a global review
.....
Two factors led to a major shift in causes of MMEs in bats at around 2000: the global increase of industrial wind-power facilities and the outbreak of white-nose syndrome in North America. Collisions with wind turbines and white-nose syndrome are now the leading causes of reported MMEs in bats.

So we see there is a definite stressor there - and as aforementioned study demonstrated this stressor could exacerbate the human bat interaction of viruses.
Now let’s get more specific on these wind turbines and what the actually do to bats
Wind turbines burst bat lungs
Wind turbines kill bats by creating low-pressure zones that explosively decompress the air in their lungs.
....
Recently, scientists have noticed a large number of dead bats at wind farms around the world. The turbines seem to be taking a particularly heavy toll on migratory species and while it was clear that the scale of these deaths is much larger than expected
....
As the blades of wind turbines spin, they reduce the pressure of the air around them. As bats fly into these low-pressure zones, the sudden change causes the air in their lungs to expand faster than the bats can exhale. The technical term is “pulmonary barotrauma”. In three syllables, “their lungs burst”. Areas of low pressure are essentially invisible – even if the bats’ sophisticated sonar guides them through the spinning blades, they wouldn’t be able to sense these danger zones until it’s too late.
....
Baerwald performed autopsies on 188 hoary and silver-haired bats recovered from a wind farm in Alberta, Canada, to determine their cause of death. She found that 90% of them had some form of internal bleeding in their chest cavity that is consistent with death by decompression. A thorough dissection confirmed Baerwald’s interpretation – the majority had damaged lungs and some had distinct air-filled bubbles that were formed by the rupture of their alveolae (the tiny sacs in the lungs through which gases are exchanged with the blood).

On a Wing and Low Air: The Surprising Way Wind Turbines Kill Bats
It is the pressure change--not the blades--that wipe out thousands of bats annually at wind farms
"As turbine height increases, bat deaths increase exponentially," says ecologist Erin Baerwald of the University of Calgary in Alberta, who led research into the deaths as part of her master's project. "What we found is a lot of internal hemorrhaging."
As the wind moves through a wind turbine's blades, pressure drops behind them by five to 10 kilopascals (a pascal is a unit of pressure), and any bat unlucky enough to blunder into such an undetectable low pressure zone would find its lungs and blood vessels rapidly expanding and, quickly, bursting under the new conditions.

Bat Fatalities at Wind Turbines—Investigating the Causes and Consequences
...
Bats are being found dead beneath wind turbines all over the world. Bat fatalities have now been documented at most wind facilities in the U.S. and Canada and it is estimated that tens to hundreds of thousands die at wind turbines in North America each year.
https://www.usgs.gov/centers/fort/sc...center_objects
With the hundreds of thousands of dead- or still dying with exposed chest cavity, bats at each major wind farm per year- it was only a matter of time before the human interaction happened.
-Maintenance workers tending to the turbines daily.
-Nearby communities to the wind turbines all the bats eventually fall- still shedding the virus
-scientists and researchers examining these bats.
-cleanup crews cleaning up the hundreds of thousands of dead bats under these turbines
Lots of exposure points lots of stressors.

So idk.
I think it's still most likely natty, but looking forward to the info.

lol actually this bat turbine hypothesis could explain how people first caught it, but there are obviously tons of other ways. Kind of a batchit idea (lol) but plausible. There's a LOT of stuff done in Wuhan, remember.

Often in populated areas
And freshly exploded lungs as well….
Think about that one farm where they found several hundred thousand bats dead under turbines
