Asian families are not like white American families. It is perfectly normal for them to stay together all their lives. My wife....who is Taiwanese and moved here with her family when she was 4....has a brother and sister in law who still live with my wife's parents....and the bro and sis in law are near 40. They live near Los Angeles.
As a white midwesterner I don't really get it.....but to them it is perfectly normal.
