I know you can get surgery for it, but from the research I've found it essentially heals in the same time frame with or without surgery.

I can walk on my heel just fine like a retard, but can't actually take a step.

Very weird feeling telling your body to move and it not listen.
Was looking for this injury itt

I also partially fooked up my achilles a few months ago and had to walk hobbled

I suspect it was either going too heavy on calve raises, my tight shoes, or both plus playing basketball

Took a few months to fully heal but like you i also went the all natural healing route lmao

Thanks for the quick res.

From the look of it, you lift heavy and real heavy.

You are healthy and tough, have a strong bone structure, connective tissues like tendons, ligaments, and resilience (recovery ability).

Although you never had a major injury, occasionally felt small awkwardness with slight pain after the workouts and learned from the experiences to be more careful and tried to keep a serious one from happening the next time.

So I think you are not only healthy and tough, but also disciplined, dedicated, and very lucky.

Keep it that way, stay injury-free, and good luck! *bow*

This list is long.
But the worst was from a car accident.
Smashed hip to bits, I’ve had 4 operations over the years on that. A repair that didn’t take, a replacement and 2 revisions (they replace the parts).
Broke c1 and c2 vertebrae in my neck (hip hurt way worse)
Broke most my ribs. My nose, and got severe brain trauma. (Had partial amnesia, have trouble remembering things now)

Bunch of other injuries and operations over the years, but they don’t compare.

Then in HS, MCL issues on left knee, torn ACL right knee, end of football career. Collar bone, left ankle, and lots of fingers playing hockey.
How could one survive such multiple major injuries...I've just realized how lucky and fortunate I have been.

I played sports past high school, and I've never broken a bone or been seriously injured either (Fuark, I can only imagine how painful a broken bone must be). The key is not to avoid sports, but avoid gruntish violent sports like american football, rugby league, fighting sports etc. (Although I did train Muay Thai for a little while but never really competed, trained a little bit of BJJ and almost screwed my neck up rolling awkwardly).

I prefer less violent sports anyway, like soccer, tennis, golf, surfing etc. I think there's more technique and finesse involved. No need to avoid sports at all.
Back off, Warchild.

Few years into lifting I dislocated my left shoulder doing straight arm pull overs because I was an idiot and dropped the dumbbell past my head which made my rotator cuff loose and caused it to keep dislocating if I did anything like put my arm above my head my arm would lock up and slowly slip out of the joint

did lots of rotator cuff exercises and it never happened again and I can do straight arm pull overs just fine but I still get stressed doing them or shoulder press

I almost did this as well, cept I was doing DB overhead presses with DBs a bit too heavy. At the top of the ROM I lost control of my right hand one and the DB fell backwards behind my head and down my back. I let go just at the right second otherwise it would have literally ripped my deltoid muscles off of my bones and left me in excruciating pain.

Fuark, hurts just thinking about it.

Two broken legs, broken and dislocated ankle, both knees ripped open and 4 of the 8 ligaments torn, broken fingers and thumb, broken scapula, 3mm brain haemorrhage. Hit by speeding car whilst cycling. 1 and a half years in hospital, TV made a documentary when I got out. It’s now on YouTube.

Split my thumb clean open from a deck chair collapsing under me while my thumb was resting in between the folding bit.

Could see the tendon/bone. Didn't really bleed which was the weird thing.

Got stitched up and then went drinking with the boys while gaining sympathy from sloots over my big thumb bandage lol

Then recently in my lower hip felt like I always had pulled something or like when your cellphone is driving into your hip. Went and got a CT scan and found I had an inguinal hernia on both sides as well. Mesh to repair the lowers, suture for the umbilical, and months of recovery. Still feel uncomfortable at times but I have a belly button again!
Sorry to hear about those injuries of yours.

At my age, it's natural when you push your body too hard close to its limit something breaks. and it tends to happen especially when you are in the best condition, well at least you think so.

But one after another, if continuously it happens then it must be hard for you to cope with it not only physically but also mentally.

But your tone of addressing it shows no sign of depression and I admire that, you are a very strong person. *bow:

Broke the same collarbone twice within a year.

1st time when my chain snapped on my mtb.

2nd time when I went over the bars during a 24 hour race.

First time healed nice.

Second time, my range of motion is limited. Probably only 80% mobility.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

Distal biceps tear on deadlift
Low grade hamstring tear from weighted walking lunges
Sciatica from homo style deadlifts x 2 (now only do conventional)
And now… a “dislocated” inner/medial calf head. No pain, no swelling, no bruising… just a literal deformed medial head, lateral head is perfectly fine. In fact the medial head looks like it slipped under the soleus. Soleus pops out more than my other leg’s soleus.

Currently going to chiro but I think I may need an MRI.
