Next they'd want free college for everyone
Then free healthcare
Then free housing
Then a UBI
and when all of their needs are met but they're still unhappy, well, I don't know what would be next, but that is the path we're headed down if republicans won't stop placing social issues as their main platform and championing rolling back laws that have been around for decades.

Even 0% as long as you are up to date on payments. Reward good behavior, not bad behavior.
Speaking of rewarding bad behavior, no doubt as soon as they get that 10-20K, the first thing you'll hear is "it wasn't enough" and they will scream even louder for more, and confident they will get it because they did the first time. From there I wonder what other financial responsibilities people will ask the government to take care of for them?

Hence another red flag as to why this whole student loan "forgiveness" plot is nothing but Biden attempting to bribe voters and spur increasing division because the selfish and shortsighted can't see past a politician's empty promises. I'd say throw that on top of the other reasons that maybe they should consider asking their universities for a refund because they're clearly not too bright or capable of logical thinking to repeatedly be bamboozled so far into adulthood.
Not only would total forgiveness reward today's bad behavior, but it would establish a precedent for everyone to ignore college debt because it, too, would inevitably be forgiven. That precedent alone would set the path for chaos in the future, reinforcing to colleges that they can charge whatever they want because taxpayers will foot the bill for their unnecessary surpluses of staff, tenured ideologues, new football fields, overpaid coaches, overpriced room and board, and all other exorbitant costs.

- When a bank finances a car for someone who can't afford it, and the owner goes bankrupt and/or the car is repossessed for non-payment, the bank pays the bill.
But when the federal government magically "forgives" student loans for no reason other than the President wanted to buy some votes, thetaxpayers and the federal debtpay for it. So there's no incentive for any sort of sanity in approving loans, such as selection of degree, selection of least-expensive school, requiring work & income by the student, etc. Just a spending free-for-all, then cry and demand Government (taxpayers) foot the bill.

Great f*cking work, America. Loan forgiveness was a good idea.
And no, it wasn't the student's fault. No one should obstruct or talk young generations out of going to college. We don't need more low IQ tradies, we need more geniuses, like Wincel said.
Making education absurdly expensive intends to gut progressive student movements, and everywhere else in the world, this has been major progress in getting people to university who might not otherwise be able to go.
When you make it impossible for young ones to get into the diverse and rich marketplace of ideas that is the modern university, where their traditionalist parents can't censor or isolate them from, you fire an arrow into the knees of American student movements, if you financially cripple them with loan payments.

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Student loan forgiveness is like reparation talk. The left has no intention of actually following through. If you think otherwise, you are gullible.

Face it, let's say someone's parents decide to pay for their child's education. If their child drops out, the parents aren't getting that money back.
