What happens when you have enough money that nothing is really new anymore? Let's say you eat $500 meals every day for 10 years...does it ever become just food?

Nothing wrong with a little help, but i like to think people worth having in your life will accept you regardless of your economic status...of course if you're homeless or something people may be weary of you. Look at the misc...people come here from all walks of life, don't pay a cent and still interact on some level.

I agree! I remember some of those happy times too...we were renting rooms in people's houses for like $400/month at the time...doing free stuff or looking for deals/coupons as we saved up for our vision of a better life.

That's why anytime I thought about "living large" to gain status or a different set of friends I really had to go into deep thought about why I was considering it and the ramifications. Your problem, apart from the deep rooted and severe mental health issues, is that your happiness depends on others. If you can't be happy by yourself, then you'll never be happy with anyone else.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

we could say the same about money...if you aren't happy with the basics covered, there could be a good chance you won't be happy with any amount of money...true lasting happiness that is.

We all experience life's pains (physical, emotional and financial), but when you can throw money at them to solve them, it does make life a bit easier, in turn leaving you a little happier.

Why do people have this misconception that all rich people are like the celebrities that off themselves or have serious issues. More often than not rich people in the civilian world become that way because they have a good positive mindset and we're fulfilled before they got money. Their money is a side effect of their personal development or work ethic. Honestly most of the rich people I know IRL are more like that PaulJerome guy. They're not perfect but they do have a better mindset than poor people I know and aren't consumed by hedonism. I think the depression comes when you use/want your money for the wrong reasons or materialism. You'll never have enough doing that kinda chit.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

You can't simply throw money all of life's pains. Health issues, death of parents/spouse, children problems, etc. If you told me I could buy my way out of those events, THAT would get me grinding for wealth.
