Look up the holdings of each fund and record them in an Excel file and compute. Other than the small cap, you should notice there will be overlap with the growth funds and international funds. Any growth fund likely has Amazon, Apple, Google, Nvidia etc. So you may have an over allocation in tech, which you may not want. I see another dip coming and when it does, i'll be diversifying into midcap as well, consumer, and healthcare. Mid cap / small cap, depending on the fund, often outpace the S&P 500 on returns over a long period of time. Does the tech sector do the same, yes. But it's one sector and lacks the diversity of mid/small.

You should probably just simplify and buy either $VTI or $VT (depending on if you believe in/want international diversification). As the other brah said, the market is so dominated by a few megacap tech names that it's not like you'll generate much alpha by picking a different ETF since they're pretty much all overweight tech. My mantra these days is to keep buying the market regularly and keep some cash on the side to pick up some names the market is dumping/ignoring where I can maybe pick up a few bips of alpha along the way. The markets go up long-run. The key is to stay invested and diversified and to buy more when people are scared/think the world is going to end

Excellent post! This is a winning strategy and also requires virtually no time or stress. You set a percentage of income you're able to put towards your funds of choice, decide how often you want to buy them, and buy them.

My personal setup is 20% pre-tax income per week towards VOO(30%), VYM(30%), VUG(30%), and BND(10%). I buy weekly.

Already did that but with calls from about 50 to 75, I admit, I did not expect it to run as much as it did lol.

It does look like it has more room to run up but I'd rather be cautious right now.

Lol, I agree with you on all points.

The all time high bullish weekly volume a couple weeks ago, combined with a big dilly and strong close shows a good sign of continued upward movement well above $100/share.

But I agree it's going to zero (some day)

Glad I let my July CCs expire worthless and btc some Aug calls I previously had sold. Im obviously underwater on the $10c I had sold and 2 Oct $11s but we will see. Sold a bunch of Oct $13c for $80 this morning. I don’t think this price action will hold. Shorts are probably running for the door, but it’ll calm down. I think my $11c will be okay eventually too. Loss was as expected- no change from estimates. But Fuuuurk @ average fico from new depositors being 754 lmao

I mean who knows, but I think Americans are pretty strapped right now. What would be black swan event this time...I think a small event could bring another downward spiral.

I'm assuming since boomers are retiring that there continues to provide jobs to younger people. So labor market still seems strong. If that were to change somehow...

Still DCA this year, but would like to dump some more cash in. I see some etfs I like are still undervalued, so may put some cash there.

You're right about people being strapped for cash. Credit card is at record highs for a reason, along with people pulling from their investments to survive. That stuff is real, but you're not going to hear many people admitting it because who wants to admit that?

It's still going to be a profitable long term play to keep DCA'ing, even at all time highs. Keep at it, it definitely pays off.
