You responded to a post asking you if omicron was less severe than delta with a study about similar heart-related mortality; I pointed out how that's dishonest because it's not looking at the big picture and then posted an article from the BMJ showing how yes, Omicronwasless severe, and you accepted it as true. However, then you suggested that my point about your comment (the one not comparing omicron vs delta correctly) was meaningles/cherry-picked was actually me responding to a post from years back "based on available data at the time" instead of yesterday. You've also then changed your mind and are now implying that no, omicron isn't less severe.
In other words, you're arguing in bad faith and moving goal-posts because you can't bear to admit that you're wrong, and to accept for good and all that omicron was less severe. All this despite thefact that, yes, it'sbeen recognisedas beingless severe.

I tried to bring the thread back on topic after others were misrepresenting facts (many/most countries don't recommend vaccines for those under 55). While that assertion is untrue, it supports the narrative and is therefore all good.

And you’re just deflecting from the main point, which is that many advanced countries are no longer recommending these injections for the majority of people in their countries. It also deflects from the point that the reason countries stopped administering them in young people initially is because of a clear signal that tied the injections to heart issues.
You’ve also shared information that said omicron is as severe as delta, and still believe it to this day. Your track record isn’t very good.
And I’ll leave you to ramble by yourself and hope that posters who care to discuss the topic will get the thread back on track.

To get back on topic, since you didn't have thoughts the first time:

-Before Omicron most of the people dying with or from Covid were over age 70
-Since Omicron most of the people dying with or from Covid have been over age 80.
-Usually the killer is the pneumonia that they develop.
-#1 comorbidity? Dementia.
Interdasting:
-when patients die of pneumonia developed by having the flu, per the CDC they're a pneumonia death.
-when patients die of pneumonia developed by having Covid, per the CDC they're both a pneumonia and a Covid death.

I'll never understand how so many people can get so triggered over basic public health measures to deal with an airborne respiratory disease.

Schools closed for a year to a year and a half wasn't exactly cool. You've never been inside a gym so we know those being closed didn't bother you. Suicides and OD's (many of them suicides) went way up. You should've gotten in on the movement.
