Recent study backing up what she said, published in arguably the no.1 scientific journal...

" we describe a city-wide SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid screening programme between May 14 and June 1, 2020 in Wuhan. All city residents aged six years or older were eligible and 9,899,828 (92.9%) participated. No new symptomatic cases and 300 asymptomatic cases (detection rate 0.303/10,000, 95% CI 0.270–0.339/10,000) were identified. There were no positive tests amongst 1,174 close contacts of asymptomatic cases."

Meta-analysis finds chance of asymptomatic transmission [within a household] is 0.7%.

Assume an identical IFR, which is about what most estimates are I think.

This means chances of passing it on and killing someone if asymptomatic is ~0.005%

Now assume chances of having it and not knowing is 1 in 50. (probably still a conservative estimate)

Total chance [of asymptomatic transmission resulting in a death] = 1 in 1 million.

Governments know this. They also know there's no evidence that mass adoption of mask wearing actually works. Therefore the reason for continued restrictions and mask mandates for people who aren't ill have nothing to do with public health. This isn't debateable.

My own grandmother and aunt were too scared to even hug me over Christmas. I didn't have the heart to try to quote statistics so I just nodded.

Sad that your granny is brainwashed...god forbid she can die tomorrow from a stroke at that age. She could have spent one last christmas with her family smh.

My sister is brainwashed too. I flew home for christmas and she tried telling me to quarantine in a room in the house and don't make contact with my parents until I get a negative test. My parents told her to stfu lol.

One of my friends was made to do the exact same thing by his parents. They were already breaking the law by allowing him to visit at all.

I honestly don’t have sympathy for the people who refuse to step out of their house or hug their loved ones, making themselves miserable in the process.

The truth is the gov didn’t do this to them. They do it to themselves. The facts are actually out there to see this isn’t a severe threat so if you’re still choosing to live in fear it’s 100% on you.

People need to start recognizing they’ve long assumed risk in their lives and the risks they assume going about their life in the face of this virus is no bigger threat to them than numerous other risks they openly accepted prior to all the hysteria.

Most need to take a good long hard look at their behavior. A good exercise that might make them feel better is sit down and list out all of the risky behavior they accepted prior to the virus and how theyve been able to manage all that risk for years and years without acting like ****ing idiots

Only partially. (I have personally known people who have expressed that it would be 'too scary' think that large sections of the government and corporations are psychopathic and narcissistic enough to carry out inhumane agendas.)

I've heard people argue that sentiment before (I'm aware that you only asked the question). But I also think that state and media actors do a good job conditioning people away from questioning any mainstream narrative.

I think that too many people - especially people who are built to be contrarians - severely underestimate the power of cultural conditioning and media. I know that even despite being a contrarian, I did not 'wake up' to geopolitics, and then to even more radical perspectives like I have now, without the help of documentaries, movies, books, and articles.

It took me years to come to the conclusion that it wasn't just a 'few bad apples' but that the system was practically rotten to the core, with an agenda towards a digital surveillance society. So, I have a lot of sympathy for people who follow the MSM.

Also... We could be wrong. The MSM narrative could be the correct one, and the governments policies could be the right call. I don't believe we are wrong, but I never claim certainty with any conclusion I hold.
