You can be an ethical vegan and not eat garbage without being a twat. It's not hard. There are lifters that are overly obnoxious about their diet, pushing the myth of 2 grams of protein per pound of body weight and whatever mainstream bull**** sets and reps you're supposed to be doing.

But it's easier to talk **** about Vegans, because they're often small and women.

So when someone asks and I say "Vegan" I say it because it's easier than saying WFPBD or "Whole Foods Plant Based Diet" every time.

All these people ITT saying that it's normal that we eat meat as we are omnivores, that this happen all the time in the wild etc. are actually right
The problem here is not the killing of the animal itself, it's the years of tortures and pain that they have to endure until they get brutally slaughtered like garbage
If you really think that this is not wrong, then i don't even know if i have faith in this world anymore
I have absolutely zero problem with people that hunt their food, and i'm sure many vegans would agree
And please stop with this nonsense of eating meat = alpha; there is nothing alpha about going to a store and buy meat

Also I don't know if you are "special" but these are some of the dumbest sentences i've ever read.
You can always tell poorly thought out logic or someone that has no real rebuttal when they begin their crusade by insinuating that you are too stupid (inferior) to merit a response.
Firstly having a pet that you love and look after is nothing like sticking an animal in a cage and pumping it full of drugs until it grows to a certain size and then you kill it, and what about rescue animal? you cant possible equate someone taking an animal from a high kill rate shelter and giving it a loving home to factory farms.
I'm not equating pets to animals in cages pumped full of hormones. I'm equating pets to being removed from their natural habitat against their vegan will.
Whats your point supposed to be with abortion? its a persons choice to make anyone that tries to force them one way or the other is wrong. How did you arrive at comparison to eating eggs? last I checked not many people in the world are eating aborted babies.
Then that logic should only apply to an unfertilized egg in a mothers womb and not a zygote.
Whats the difference between plants an animals? seriously? One is a simple organism with no self awareness, the other is a living creature that can experience emotions and pain and fear.
So you think it is okay to kill and eat another living organism simply because you "BELIEVE" it isn't self aware. Prove that a bee is self aware.
The honey thing follows the definition of veganism
"Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose"
The bees may not be killed to get honey, but they are exploited as it takes generations of bees to make any real quantity of it and for some person to take it when they can very easily live without out is according to veganism wrong.
But its okay to cut down trees, plants, pluck seeds and fruits...

Tell me something. If a tree wanted me to pick its fruit then why do many have natural barriers against it?

inb4 its not self aware. Then prove it.
I would never try to force veganism on anyone, that is retarded, but if I one day read an argument against veganism that has a single shred of fact or logic to support it I think my head would explode.
You haven't shown one logical point yet that didn't have a glaring hole.

I am personally pro choice. Get it? Choice? Did the chicken sign a fking consent form?

This is an appeal to futility fallacy. "I can't do everything therefore I should do nothing". We need plants to survive. We do not need to consume animal flesh and/or nipple juice to survive.

To be fair, the vegan community is also guilty of this. Shaming vegetarians for continuing to consume animal products. It's a shame, because I think vegetarianism could be marketed much more easily and to a greater audience. It's a more manageable diet that is also greatly improving animal welfare/Environment etc. Vegans tend to be quite extreme for the most part, though.

Honestly I kind of agree with you here. Seems a bit of a soft one.
And if I'm honest the meme won me over.
Repped for well thought out response.

As for the pro choice thing... neither does the father or the unborn fetus (which is far more questionable than honey).

Cant really compare dogs with those other animals. We've been practicing eugenics on dogs for thousands of years and they are very far removed from the wolf which they were bred from. Dogs needs humans and they rely on humans to survive. that is their natural habitat now.

This thread was started by me to understand the psycho SJW vegans i see all over the internet. The only people i respect in this thread so far are the ones with logical thought processes and/or those that are vegan for nutritional reasons. The ethical vegans ... logical holes everywhere.

The only argument against veganism, at the moment, is that eating meat may contribute to intelligence, is how we evolved from apes, etc. It is sorta impossible to prove or disprove this notion.

say you have two parallel paths in front of you, one is paved with vegetables and the other one with animals.
If you wanna live you have to step on at least one of them, and whatever you step on dies. what do you do?

Either one, doesn't matter. From a logical perspective life is life, each living organism no more valuable than the other. It is a human construct that attaches purpose beyond that.

When you run across a grassy field ... do you try to stand on the tip of your toes while doing so in order to reduce bug casualties? Do you worry about all the insects your smash with your car windshield when driving down the road?

I'm willing to bet that for the majority of the people in this world. If you replaced your analogy with one path being little bugs and another path being pretty unique flowers ... most would choose to trample the little bugs.

Years?
Cattle are raised on range or pasture land for most of their lives (usually 12-18 months), then transported to a feedlot for finishing. These cattle usually spend about three to six months in a feedlot, during which time they gain between 2.5 and 4 pounds per day.

Those other animals are not genetically bred to rely on humans. If you see experiments done with a dog vs a wolf, the dog will often times give up and rely on the human to solve the issue. The wolf never will do this. its not the same thing as comparing those other animals.

Horses do similar things. I can't speak for goats and sheep though because i've never messed with them really.

If you throw a dog (again maybe not a rat dog) into the wild... it will figure things out. Same with a house cat.

Think about the bigger picture here: wasting all kinds of food/water to raise cattle so we can feed obese people while others starve. Factory farming is not sustainable.

Phuck outta here with your petty arguments.

Yeah the strays in 3rd world countries scavenge off garbage and scarp food lying around. That is not the "wild" aka wilderness. If they are bred from wolves then their natty habitat should be where wolves live right.... Any dog in the wilderness wont survive. There might be some breeds that might have a chance but most will die. even wolves need to rely on the pack to make kills and eat.

No, he clearly said its not sustainable. It clearly is sustaining itself. People starved before industrialized farming. America alone produces enough food to feed the entire world. Lack of resources isn't the problem.

Stop trying to come up BS facts to support your ethical doctrine. Just say, "I think its wrong to keep animals in a cage and therefore i don't eat them." Justifying it by saying its not sustainable doesn't work.

In my travels i've seen numerous dogs in the wild surviving. I've seen them in packs as well. Most scavenge because it's simply more efficient. Life finds a way.

You know better than me that this is the minority

Most "farms" are not like that

Just google cattle mass farming and you'll see it yourself.

Everyone: stop eating honey. My family, we don't even eat honey products anymore, or 'conflict honey.' Honey is made under oppressive circumstances. Bees are kept in servitude and sexual bondage. They're like flying veal!

-2,400 Gallons of water is needed to produce 1 pound of meat, only 25 gallons is needed to produce 1 pound of wheat.
-Close to half of all water used in the USA goes to the production of animals for food.
-acres upon acres of the Amazon Rain forest in Brazil were destroyed in order to grow crops to produce feed for chickens and other factory farmed animals.
