Agreed, even if they had 500 gun stores on each street that wouldnt change.

The root cause is the kind of people living in the country. However that cant be changed. We have pieces of s*it in this country and we need to adjust accordingly

So yes, you kinda are stupid to not believe that gun crime would drastically reduce if we got rid of them
Japan is a homogeneous country. If you remove minorities and suicides from the stats America is on par with Japan as far as murder rate

While Australia is a good example of the benefits of tight gun control I don’t think it’s fair to compare America and Australia

America has 14x australias population and a gun culture that’s engrained into their way of life. Not to mention a rediciclous amount of weapons per capita

The gun control laws brought in back in 96’ only worked because our small population handed in a vast majority of firearms to be destroyed due to the buy back scheme that was affordable once again due to a small population and lack of a large amount of firearms.

People always use Australia as an example without really understanding what exactly the culture down here is like and the collective thought and emotion over 22 years ago when everything changed.

Apples and oranges. America and Australia is pretty different at the core

They're also isolated and guns have to be brought in by sea or air.

We happen to have mexico, a nation with 5 times as much gun violence as us, as a neighbor.

It's not as simple as your 23 year old brain thinks it is, you cannot compare countries when talking about gun violence because there are so many more factors than just guns => population => deaths by guns. It is far, far more complicated than that.

Yep, the homogeneity gives even criminals a sense of connection to the rest of the society. Even the Yakuza (mob) in Japan is polite and rarely targets civilians. I saw a video of a Yakuza celebration day in Japan (they basically parade around in those underwear things while drinking, dancing, etc) and one of the guys smashed a glass or bottle near some onlookers and then proceeded to bow/apologize for committing that act. The Japanese don't even litter as they understand that this is a "quality of life offense" which affects everyone.

When you have a society like America's which features drastic differences in wealth/race/community/culture it just opens the door for fallout along those lines.

Read what I quoted you with. You called everyone who wants to buy guns a retard. That has nothing to do with what you're saying ^^^ there, you're acting like you have empathy but in reality this is all to troll people.

No you were chitting on America then calling someone retarded as if they strengthens your argument. While I agree getting rid of guns would lessen the amount of gun related deaths per year, that doesn't mean its an ideal solution. If we cut off everyone's hands there'd be no more school shootings but would it be worth it? Clearly getting rid of guns is not something most Americans want, and its not as if since the existence of guns there have been school shootings. The problem is rooted somewhere deeper in our society, and to blame it simply on guns is foolish. Who knows, maybe we get rid of guns and these kids start throwing acid in people's faces or using mustard gas.

Wrong. The non-Hispanic white homicide rate per 100,000 in the US is 2.66, while the homicide rate in Japan is 0.31. Obviously, more murders with guns will be committed in the US so no need to get in that merit.

/e the CDC stats are about death rates, but the vast majority of homicides are interracial. 12% of white victims were killed by blacks and 8% of black victims were killed by whites, so that would make the white homicide rate slightly lower (probably ~2.5), still a far cry from Japan's.

Okay, so that small percentage. Are their guns legally-owned or illegally-owned, most of the time? This is exactly my point; you don't have any facts to go with your arguments/opinions because you don't fukking know any. You just sit there and mouth off like you know everything about gun ownership and gun crimes in America, when in reality, you're just as informed on it as I am about gun laws wherever you live--not fukking informed, at all.

Edit:
The folks who live here and have similar opinions, although I don't agree with them, they're a lot closer to the action than you are and know more about this country than you do. Again, you're not helping yourself by spouting off at the mouth, like that. You're just ignorant as fuk.

So, in your opinion, if they ban guns, that small percent wouldnt get/buy them?

Criminals don't care about the law. If they want to kill, they gonna kill.

Just let some teachers have a gun inside the school.
