So yea, she did get harassed which sucks, but it shouldn't be used to extrapolate some conclusion that everyone wants to be white (or whatever argument). If anything it sheds light on how toxic online communities can be especially when they're open for kids to abuse with multi-accounts, fake emails etc.
I guess I'd call it statistical noise, since a 12 y/o spamming the N word probably doesnt hate black people. They just don't get how stupid what they're doing is

Kinda feel bad for her tbh. She's an actor playing a role - it's not really her fault that her character is a forced-diversity SJW mouthpiece. That one's on the writers. But people don't know who the **** those guys are, so as the face of the show, she's gonna take the brunt of the hate.
Blaming racism for it all is just the acceptable reason to leave Twitter though, rather than saying "the movie I was paid to act in and endorse ****ing sucked, and my character was the worst part of it." I'm sure she has received some nasty racial slurs and stuff, but I'm betting that's more because people hate her character than actual racial animosity. You don't hear about John Boyega getting hate mail because the writers made his character 100x more likeable.

I always find it funny how some people think they are the subject of racist/sexist remarks because of their race/sex.
It doesn't work like that.
If you piss somebody off, they will respond to piss you off. They will ALWAYS take the cheap shot they know will strike home, rather than avoid it out of political correctness. That's why when miscer's girlfriends get pissed at them, the gf will make a crack about penor size or the visit from the norwood reaper or his manlet status. Basically, she will pick the insult which she knows will hit the hardest.
It's no different with people in the public eye who say or do something insulting to some segment of their fanbase. The fans don't know them, so they pick the insult based on what they think will strike hardest. It's human nature.
This asian chick was in a terrible movie, so of course the pissed off fans are going to make fun of her being asian, being fat, and being a bad actress. They know all 3 of those insults are likely to get a rise out of her equal to how pissed off they are about that last awful star wars movie.
How can somebody go through life and not understand this? It's got nothing to do with racism or sexism. It's literally just picking the lowest hanging fruit to try and get a rise out of someone.
Adam Jones was getting bananas thrown at him at Fenway Park last year and all the SJWs had a meltdown about it. I mean, how could deep blue Boston be racist?!?! The answer is that those fans weren't racist. The figured out that they could live rent free inside Adam Jones' head if they threw bananas at him. That meant he might not play as well and that the Red Sox might have a better chance of winning. It's not rocket surgery. When I played, opposing teams would put some of their bench players down the line to guard against line drives into the bullpens and these players would spend all game yapping at the opponent trying to needle them and get under their skin. If they found something that worked, they'd spend the rest of the game hammering that home. It's called gamesmanship. It's not polite, but it also isn't (wasn't?) against the rules.

This asian chick was in a terrible movie, so of course the pissed off fans are going to make fun of her being asian, being fat, and being a bad actress. They know all 3 of those insults are likely to get a rise out of her equal to how pissed off they are about that last awful star wars movie.

If they found something that worked, they'd spend the rest of the game hammering that home. It's called gamesmanship. It's not polite, but it also isn't (wasn't?) against the rules.
