Boxing up s great and I don't think anyone is denying that, but you pure delusion about how you think they can just wreck grapplers is what people are disagreeing with - because it's not accurate and you are clearly very biased and lacking objectivity on this. I started out primarily in striking and use to cope just like you.If you’re in a bar fight, wrestling is useless unless you want to hold onto the guy until someone stops it.
I’m betting on the boxer EVERY SINGLE TIME if he is head up with a wrestler lol. Now, if it’s the first time the boxer has ever stepped into an octogon vs someone who has been doing it their whole life, yea sure. Give me the all time great.
Meanwhile, good luck winning the street fight with grappling as your only skill. Good job bro. You took him down and got stomped out by bouncers. Meanwhile the boxer knocks dude out and gets out before the bouncers even know what’s happened.
Kick boxing / Boxing > grappling every time. Ask Ronda Rousey.
I’m out. Can’t argue with ppl who have never trained combat and have never fought.
Monday morning Posers.
Edit - biggest male star the UFC has ever seen = mcgregor = boxing base.
Baddest woman on earth = nunes = boxing base
Rousey first devastating loss = Holm = Boxing base
There’s a reason for that..
Unsubbed.

Judo- (not just because I do it)
for the breakfalls( one of the
most important things to know in a fight and life in general) stability ( difficult to take down a judo fighter)awesome for all round throws/takedowns, has enough submissions / ground work to get you out of trouble
Boxing or Muay Thai would be second imo

Ive been boxing for 21 years and I would be absolutely terrified to go against a Kick Boxer lol. that's about the only skill I fear. If someone is trained in Judo, M Thai, etc I wouldn't be as worried because in boxing youre trained to hold distance and use footwork to close distance quickly..
kick boxing is a whole different animal. They close distances entirely too quickly for just about any martial art to defend against.

The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultraviolence.

damn 6 pages and sh*t ton of *******s who've never trained in their life lol
also lol @ *******s who underestimate wrestling/bjj for real life scenarios. your goal if you're in a street/bar fight is 1) don't get taken to the ground; 2) if you do end up on the ground, better know how to get back up
you're not gonna roll there and try to pull some fancy submission, but a well executed takedown can end the fight in couple of seconds when you hit the other person with planet earth

Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit softly.

Why are the majority of arguments an appeal to strength via ad hominem?
Why do the majority of arguments rely on outliers and/or events that are not common place?
Why is everybody so worked up that people have differing opinions about what arts are more useful?

Khabib Nurmagomedov has dominated the UFC with the style because nowhere else practises it except Russia. Fedor also utilised it as well.

Plently of Sambo trained fighters have entered MMA, and have not been as dominant as Khabib and Fedor.

Boxing or Muay Thai makes the most sense. You can deal with your 'opponent' before it ends up going to the ground. And trying something like BBJ on the street could go horrible wrong, i.e: you do a fancy take down and then try to submit him... and then his friend(s) comes along and boots you in the head.

An interesting note, the asian dude in the red briefs getting his dick knocked off(Joe son) is now serving a life sentence for rape and murder. It adds a layer of satisfaction to the clip knowing its a rapist getting punched in the dick.

Muay Thai/dutch kickboxing or boxing. Nothing else compares. Yeah BJJ and wrestling might be better if you cross train with another striking art, but if you come to a fight against a striker with just grappling or wrestling as your sole skillset, you're fuked. The moment you eat the first punch/kick youre gonna rethink your decision.
Also LOL at even bringing up TKD and Krav Maga in the same conversation, they're both play fighting.

You're 20 years too late on this theory. The evolution of the UFC/MMA proved that pure wrestlers will beat pure boxers in a full contact fight most of the time. There may be a fluke knockout here and there by a striker, but most of the time the wrestler can eat a shot going in and/or the striker doesn't hit hard enough for a one punch KO, then he gets slammed on the ground. It's worse on the street, as getting slammed on concrete is a helluva lot more destructive than getting slammed on a mat.
Do you really think Floyd Mayweather, the arguably greatest boxer for his weight of all time, could beat an Olympic wrestling champion of his own weight in a full contact fight? Seriously?
