Interesting, once again, maybe you have this delusion that you need a huge house, so you make excuses once again why you can't afford one.

Also, nobody is entitled to a house.

Because mods are being selective with their assessment of what is moved to R&P and what isn't if it favors their ideologies. They are online as this threadhttps://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...hp?t=177728221was just locked, but this thread somehow isn't?

IMO this is the biggest difference in the last 20 years. The Amazons of this world own the political process. They can keep wages extremely low directly because they know the government will step in and subsidise their blue collar workers and families ie child tax credits, housing allowances, tax credits etc.

There is a major depot in Bedfordshire about 40 miles from London. It’s an expensive area to live. Their average worker earns about 25k gbp. Absolutely no way could you live in that area on that salary without the government stepping in.

They should be made to move up the m1 to somewhere a lot cheaper, say Birmingham, where you could live on that 25k. If you want to stay in Milton Keynes, fine, If you don’t pay a living wage for the area good luck getting anyone to travel 50 miles so they can work for you.

‘But muh capitalism’.. nah, it’s nothing like.

Nobody is being forced to work at Amazon, and I'm sorry, but if you're at the bottom of that pyramid, you're easily replaceable.

It's like the bagger of a grocery store demanding a "living wage," you're doing something a 15 year old with a work permit can do.

That is not true.

Sweatshops happen in 3rd world countries, that don't have welfare states. By your reasoning, sweatshops shouldn't exist in those places.

"Crammed into squalid factories to produce clothes for the West on just 20p a day, the children forced to work in horrific unregulated workshops of Bangladesh "

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...angladesh.html

All anyone has to do is look into sweatshops in countries without a welfare system, to show that pro-free market capitalist argument is nonsense.

Without employee rights, building and fire codes, corporations will try to get away with paying and treating workers like crap. We've see that for decades, in various countries around the world, from some of the biggest multinational corporations on the planet (e.g. Nike).

Their personal wealth =/= the corporation's wealth.

The corporation is a separate legal entity.

You’re not easily replaceable if you can’t afford to live by or travel to a place paying very low wages. You’ve missed the point.

Why on earth would you be in favour or YOUR tax dollars going to a massively wealthy company by subsidising the workers wages? Seriously?

No, they have sweatshops because of zero regulation, massive uneducated overpopulation, no expensive areas to live.. it’s not even remotely comparable come on..

The clue is in the word ‘forced’..
