I like to think it's like how they portrayed it in Supernatural.
You go to your happy place, with the people who made you happy, doing what made you happiest (assuming all are some baseline level of good). Though I guess if either the first or last weren't baseline good, you'd be going to hell.
I also don't subscribe to any one religion, but I do believe in God.
My bigger question is what happens to people before Christianity was a thing? Do they get a pass for not having the knowledge to be decent people, assuming Christianity is the ruling religion and Heaven/God are real? Or are they still judged like everyone else? If the latter, RIP in pieces neanderthals.

Yes. Delightfully worshipping God is man's final end, and it is never tiring or boring.
Marriage is a worldly bond; marriage ends when a spouse dies. There's no end or good to sex in heaven, so no.
All the good of Call of Duty is contained purely and essentially in the experience of the beatific vision, because God is all goodness.
Not sure if srs.
No. Because God is infinite and we are finite, each passing second (so to speak) in heaven becomes more delightful because our comprehension and appreciation of Him expands further, ad infinitum.
God bless (srs)

But I will answer by explaining how to understand the bible. But since the 10 commandments are so important in the old testament, I assume anything that so blatantly violates it is a metaphor.
Two verses:
Proverbs 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
Proverbs 24:6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.
Superficially reading this you would think that the counselors are wise people that you consult with but that is not what it is saying. The longest chapter in the bible is Psalm 119 and if you read it, you will see that every verse has a word which is a synonym for God's law. Then you get down to verse 24
Psalm 119:24 Thy testimonies also are my delight And my counsellors.
So, God defines everything in the Bible by the multitude of verses in the Bible as they are all true. You have to look at everything God says about a subject to find truth. Too many false teachers latch on to one verse and don't look at the other verses which explain the same concept or ideas but give it a more definite understanding.

humans have been on earth and intelligent with communities for 50,000-65,000 years
christianity is 2000 years old
I could probably write a whole book pointing out how illogical it is to believe in but whatever. People need things to cling on to to cope with the fact we are just molecules that will be broken apart one day and scattered throughout the universe.
Religion is nothing more than a psychological phenomenon if you ask me. When you take a completely 100% objective standpoint to evaluate it, none of it makes sense, its all subjective fantasy with no real proof beyond 2000 years ago and all of the proof is human.

people in heaven are probably going to be mindless babies. if its supposed to be perfect and everything is provided for, then there wont be a need to learn or any critical thinking needed. everything that made us today will be wiped away, so it'll be boring and mundane. there wont be anything to talk about or anything to do. even if lets say people up there will be worshipping god, worship will be different than it is today. studying god's commands? no point.... why teach them whats right and wrong and gods laws? that'll just give them cause to break the law and get kicked out of heaven.
Isaiah 65:17 says, “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

The story of Job and Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac are historical parables - a parable is an earthly story with a spiritual meaning. It was pointing to Jesus' sinless nature and the suffering that He went through to demonstrate His love for mankind. Someone wrote earlier in this thread: "Jesus loves you" and that is true, but that love alone will not save you because He needs to know you.
I think what some of the people in this thread are not understanding is that in Heaven we will have spiritual bodies which are way more glorious. We'll be perfect because we will be like Him. There'll be no more sorrow, pain, or death. The creator of the universe is going to bring down a new Heaven and a new Earth where only righteousness dwells. If you don't know Him then you are cast out because you did not accept the sacrifice that God gave us with His Son.
He calls you 'friend' when He send you to Hell because He was a friend to you.

People are not trying to base laws and public policy on Santa Clause. I could go into detail but that is really all that needs to be said. You are comparing apples to oranges. Atheists do not hate God. You just want to believe that, because that is the only explanation that makes sense to you and still gives you the ability to hold on to your precious beleevies.
Try not to talk about atheists, because you are not a mind reader. You are projecting your assertions, a lot of room for error there. Ill-advised debate approach.

I don't know too much about the Bible but is there a point where people would start to think there must be something more to it?
For example it talks about how in the end times we'll have the mark of the beast and basically we'll need it to buy things and participate in society. Doesn't that sound a lot like the social credit system or digital currency and ID's that's almost certainly going to become reality at some point? Do you just chalk this up to coincidence or a lucky guess 1000's of years ago.
Is it possible the Bible is actually wisdom and knowledge passed down from an advanced alien civilization or by humans from the future or another dimension to serve as a guide book and/or warning about the nature of humans as a species?

Deep down, none of you religioncels actually believes it, otherwise, you would go straight into the military and volunteer for the most dangerous assignments. The bible says you can't shoot yourself? NP, just go get shot by Achmed. If eternal life > life on earth, any rational person would try to get themselves killed ASAP.
