Absolutely they should provide receipts.......but that’s common sense so it’ll never be a requirement
I get a tax deduction just by hanging out here

this would fix what exactly? Baby mama buys groceries for her bff, bff pays baby mama in cash for groceries, baby mama buys LV bag with cash.

It would simply be a defeatable loophole.

And this right here ladies and gentlemen, is why child support doesn't work with the current system. Because the father has to fund the mother's terrible spending habits.

I cant believe she has just come out with this statement.

She spends £150 a week on food for a child; absolutely ridiculous.

To put this into perspective, as a grown man weighing 90kg lean, training for my last fight, I was eating 5000 kcals a day. I ate all clean, whole foods which are generally more expensive than the average diet (steak etc) . My food bill was £40 a week.

Then she complains that child support isnt enough to raise her child, cus she can't buy gucci shoes for them. Moron.

When you get divorced you aren't supposed to want your children's lifestyles to go backwards just because you want your ex punished.

I think most of you are warped. You want your kids moving into a dump of an apartment after all they've known their whole life is a decent house in a decent neighborhood?
A lot of the laws behind child support are misunderstood. They have the childs best interests in mind. For split custody, they want the child to have a similar lifestyle betweens moms house and dads house. This allows both parents to have equal footing, ie one cant be the favourite parent because they get the new bike/vacations etc.

Its actually kind of an important decision in your life, who you decide to have children with.

I have a hard time believing you only spent 60 us a week on food.

I have zero problem with the concept of child support.

Where I wish Snails and folks like her would focus is child support enforcement reform. I think there is too little leeway on each side of the enforcement issue.
You have no issues because your ex earns more than you and you are pretty sure she's not spending your child support for her own needs.

what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Maybe if you tried lifting and dieting then you'd know how much clean food actually costs.

I know it doesn't cost 3x my food bill to feed a child.

Typical whiteknight with dwindling low test, instead of looking at the figures she's just provided (£150 a week to feed a child) your argument is completely illogical based on emotion. Ever wonder your ex was the breadwinner, she's got the balls.

I have no issues with it because children need a decent place to live. Need clothes, heat food, transportation, activities and hobbies, tutors, water, internet, phones, computers. Child support doesn't come close to paying for all that.

Dude chicken is 2 bux a pound. Steak is 6 to 10 bux a pound at the cheapest.

My son is bigger than you and my 15yo isn't too far behind.

You're an out of touch azzhole. Don't even talk to me about training. I've done more real training than you'll ever imagine.

Do you never see your kids or something?

Do you not have a house they come to stay at which you pay for. Do you not provide water, heat, internet, laptops when they come over every week?

Does your ex contribute towards it, no.

You are a 50 year old man whos ex earns more than you. She's the breadwinner, you just contribute. So no wonder your illogical view is skewed.

My ex is a doctor. She would earn more than most here.

I travel for work. So I can be gone up to a month at a time. But yes I think most of you are clueless as to what it costs and I don't think 25 to 30 percent of your income to go towards child support is exorbitant.

For the vast majority of men we are talking 400 to 1000 a month in child support.

That's not back breaking for 98% percent of men.

Exactly. The point of the discussion is making sure your ex spends everything you pay for child support for your child and not for her own.
Thats why this doesnt apply to you. This applies to those who pays for it and see their ex spending it on shoes, clothes, gym, cosmetics etc. Will you be happy if his happens to you?

And child support is supposed to be a shared responsibility. Its not supposed to 100% finance everything. The sharing depends on the agreed custody.

I paid for support for my 2 elder kids. They are now 23 and 20 and they have a good mom who took care of them too. But this is about those women who prioritizes themselves over their kids.
I hate it because I can see my sister doing it. I feel bad for my ex-brother-in-law.

Lol, just shows you've never lifted seriously.

I'm a good 35 lbs heavier whilst being 10% bf. That's a fkin massive difference in size.

This is supposed to be a bodybuilding forum, and we've got old men with car selfies of their face, telling us their 15 year old football playing bloatlord son's are huge.

Ever wonder this forum has died. Full of *******s.

As long as the child is taken care of is she not allowed to have anything?

My nephew is being taken care of by my mother while she goes out every night and by the time she's home, my nephew is already in bed.
She has a decent work, but she splurge on things that her income cannot support. So where does it come from? Child support?

Well there's more people in worse situation that this and I really think its not a bad thing to have that process. If a guy can be penalized for not paying child support, then the girl should at least spend them all for the child.

Can only imagine that this is why such a system doesn't exist already: the amount of administration required would be insane. It would be on par with tax auditing in terms of complexity but would eat up revenue instead of generating it

But it's definitely a constant battle for the people I know who are paying child support and non-stop critiquing the apparent purchases made by and lifestyles of the other half

Just pay people $25,000 - $50,000 to be sterilized, on a sliding scale based on age. Half of our problems would be solved.

When a marriage ends any children should be killed unless they are 18 years old. This solves child support and lowers divorce rates simultaneously as there will no longer be children to support and any couples thinking about divorce will have to really consider if they want to murder their children to go through with it. Morbid, but effective.
